It is a "Lowcountry" dish with shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn...Oh and Old Bay or some other Cajun Seasoning.

Here is a link:

Here's one with a pic, but no potatoes in the recipe??? They are there in the picture.

Generally if outdoors, you line a table with newspaper and eat it almost like you eat steamed oysters...right on the table!

It is awesome!

I prefer to let the sausage and potatoes cook for awhile together but not at too hig of a temp, just enough to keep it boiling. Then after about 1/2 hour add the corn corn...be careful not to overcook it..and then briefly the shrimp just until cooked (nothing is worse than an overcooked shrimp!)

Speaking of comfort food O' Town...doesn't sound too shabby over there either.

I have been in/out of here from time to time. Just been a bit busy, and I am not the best at discussing weather either :cheesy:

Greeng13....it's a shrimp boil! That's what we call it down here but we use crab & shrimp boil mix. We do the same exact thing with crawfish and crabs. We usually do it on weekends, have friends over, there's plenty of beer, conversation and fun.

Another thing to add....mushrooms!
