The intense cells have moved onshore and headed straight for N Galveston Co. Its raining right now.

That is a scary cell to my S. When the atmosphere is this unstable and shearing is ongoing you do not want to a red cell headed your way.

Those cells developing in SW Houston are what I will be keeping an eye on. If they start to get their act together then my area in west Spring will likely be the eventual target.
nevermind - it actually looks like they will miss me to the west a bit. Things change though so I will still be keeping a close watch.

Well, I just got my electricity back a few minutes ago. It's been out for the past 2+ hours...shortly after my last post. I have a weather alert so I was able to hear the severe thunderstorm warning and flood warning for my area. We've gotten a lot of rain and the thunder and lightning has been nonstop. The winds are quite high as well. 59mph gust recorded at a KFDM Instaweather station a little to my north, as well as a 58mph gust recorded at Lamar University.
I hope this was the worst of it.

Looks like Houston Metro will make out OK to me - just a good soaker and gusty winds as the line comes thru
