The storm I was worried about earlier coming off the Gulf, has went severe..

At least so far it is not tornadic....

That is a scary cell to my S. When the atmosphere is this unstable and shearing is ongoing you do not want to a red cell headed your way.

Those cells developing in SW Houston are what I will be keeping an eye on. If they start to get their act together then my area in west Spring will likely be the eventual target.

nevermind - it actually looks like they will miss me to the west a bit. Things change though so I will still be keeping a close watch.

We have got a little bit of stuff here, but not too much... There is really nothing going on right now... Kind of quiet and windy.... afraid of things to come later....

Well, I just got my electricity back a few minutes ago. It's been out for the past 2+ hours...shortly after my last post. I have a weather alert so I was able to hear the severe thunderstorm warning and flood warning for my area. We've gotten a lot of rain and the thunder and lightning has been nonstop. The winds are quite high as well. 59mph gust recorded at a KFDM Instaweather station a little to my north, as well as a 58mph gust recorded at Lamar University.

I hope this was the worst of it.

Looks like Houston Metro will make out OK to me - just a good soaker and gusty winds as the line comes thru

Nothing to worry about here - I'm under the protection of The Bear Creek Dome still...

The 3 storms that have passed over here in Baytown have been what I would call dis-jointed. What I mean heavy rain, then lightning & thunder, then some gusty winds.
