Now, my sister and I get together, spending a few nights at one of our houses to watch it, probably twice a year. We say, "hey, it's time for another Pride & Prejudice marathon. We catch something new every time we watch it, and walk away with a new phrase to say. One of my favs...about Mr. Collins..."Ugh! Take him away and feed him!"
I've been in love with Mr. Darcy (Colin Firth) since I first saw it. hehe Every little thing in the movie is so meaningful, the looks, everything. I just love it.
I did like Keira as Lizzy (loved her in Pirates of the Caribbean), but I didn't liked her better. I think I'm just used to seeing Jennifer Ehle as Lizzy, and in my eyes, it's hard to measure up to that. It may make a difference that I saw the A&E version first...I dunno. But no doubt about Mr. Darcy. I did buy last year's movie though, and will watch it again.
Btw, you might also like Emma with Gwyneth Paltrow and Sense & Sensibility with Emma Thompson. They're not P&P, both both are excellent movies.
I wanted to smack the grandpa into next week with his rude, crude and never-ending foul mouth, but other than him, I did enjoy the movie.
