This system was definitely not a tropical storm (and it featured no tropical or subtropical characteristics). It was a frontal eddy with no evident surface circulation. Winds were light and variable in the vicinity. It was not vertically stacked and it was a very shallow system. No deep convection has been observed and very little overall anticyclonic rotation was evident.
