Changes once again!

#1 Postby mf_dolphin » Sun Jul 22, 2007 6:46 pm

We've had a lot of discussion about the sub-forums and we're making some changes based on your feedback. It will be a little disorganized for a few days while we move threads around but hang in there and we'll get it straightened out.

Thanks! Are all storms going to be archived there or just non-ATL storms? (I'd personally prefer all storms but that's just me.)

I was getting used to the other changes, but now we move the table again. Nonetheless, I like the new ideas.

Chacor,It will take a bit of time while we look for all the past storms from 2003 in all the basins, but bear with us that we will do it.

You were referring to wxmann91?

Anyhow, I think, as with every change, there are pros and cons, although this time I believe the pros far outweight the cons, and the "foreign threads" get as much recognition, which is good.

Will the threads be locked once they are moved into the archives?

Thank you wx91 for that. But We need more :) The advisories threads for 2003-2004-2005 and 2006.Remember that in 2003 we didn't had official advisories threads only a bunch  Already another mod has moved plenty to 2005-2006 but still there is work to do.

Oops. I just realized you said advisories threads. I only looked up the discussion threads. Are you moving the discussion threads too? (If you're not, then I just did all that for nothing, lol.  )

Yes, we're moving those too. We're combining everything into one giant superthread. It will take some time to get it all done though. I've spent a good bit of time moving threads and merging them, and it's only put a small dent in it. So everyone, please be patient. :)

Do you want me to continue digging up threads?

Before I saw what you were doing, I was searching on my own. I know there's a LOT more to do, but I had to break from it and do other things.

I'm going to go over the ones you posted above and if they haven't been moved and merged yet, I'll do it. If you want to keep digging up threads, of course that will be helpful and appreciated, but if you have other things you'd rather do, we will eventually get to them. It's up to you. :)

Thanks!

Durian and Utor are in 2007 - they should be in 2006.
