Re: Invest 99L in Central Atlantic
This system still has to pass through the death corridor of storm in the east Carribean, not to mention possibly the Dominican Republic. No need to get overworked just yet.

Yeah folks just had some more looks at this invest.
Nice spin, good moisture, and notice how it is pulling away from the ITCZ.......ULL winds becoming very favorable, no SAL and a clear path of extremely warm waters through the Caribbean...with no TUTT low to worry about....
I am 100% sure this is the real thing...soo get ready.

It appears that the cluster of thunderstorms is moving ahead of any rotation to it's east, so, any excitement over 99 may be premature...

As far as 98 is concerned, as TWC mentioned earlier, it now appears to be more of a frontal system than anything else, so, it's unlikely that'll be made a depression...

Frank as much as we would like to think that this season's time is running out....I think we've got a little problem on our hands with this one...I would be floored if this thing goes poof at this point......and unfortunately it doesn't look like it will be going fishing....
Now we all wish that EC trough setup waited until August...rather than using our get out of jail free card when nothing happens in June/July...

This is getting interesting. Looks like a developer for sure. Question now is, just how far she will move into the Carribean. Who knows, the Berwick Model is rusty (been two years) ready to break it out now. Will wait for intialization, and give it a couple of more days while conditions north of the system become more apparent.

I give this a 40% chance of this becoming a depression at 11am advisory and a 60% of a depression at 5pm advisory.

COC is near 10.2N / 46W, IMO. The circulation is pulling in moisture, looks good to me. If this keeps up I bet this is a TD by 11pm.
