i say no.. i bet it will be around 8 or 9 am... gives them a chance to study a longer loop or what have you of the visible images, and if the convection has continued to hang in there... of course, that is if the center is under the convection or closer to it by 8 or 9am...

I say yes. They can't put off calling it much longer.Each hour that passes,the closer its gettting to people in it's path

It's very hard to believe that thing is not already a TD. I know there's a danger of relying on IR only...but it has convection, it is consolidating, it is growing, it looks like it *might* be developing rotation (hard to tell yet though), and it is developing outflow. But hey, I am an amateur hack.

By 5am it will be TD, 11am a named system, and within 48 hours a "cane".

I voted yes based on Quickscat and IR imagery. Looks like it is a TD right now....MGC
