It looks dang good for a fairly naked swirl. I would just prefer it develop as it would likely be fish. If it doesn't and gets closer to the CONSUS, there could be fun and games to play.

Then again, it may just wither away.

From the looks of the SAL...is this system "busting a hole in it???

94L may also be busting the SAL for this system - if it stays low in latitude, it has a decent chance of development. If it moves north, it could become a SAL-buster for the next wave...

A LARGE AREA OF LOW PRESSURE...ASSOCIATED WITH A TROPICAL WAVE...IS
CENTERED ABOUT 250 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS.
SHOWER ACTIVITY WITH THIS SYSTEM IS MINIMAL AND DEVELOPMENT...IF
ANY...IS EXPECTED TO BE SLOW TO OCCUR.

how can a wave ahead of the SAL disrupt the SAL? In order for the leading wave to break up the SAL, the SAL needs to be moving from west to east, and the Caribbean and Saharan need to change locations.

The trailing wave is the one that kills any SAL outbreaks

All this wave will probably do is help the wave behind it by clearing out the SAL...

1011mb and forecast to reach 1010mb according to latest TPC Surface Analysis. I think this one will have a shot once it approaches the Islands similar to what Invest 94L did..

I expect this system to develop as it gets closer to the LA (Lesser Antilles, not Los Angeles, nor Lousiana!!!).

I could definitely see this becoming a player once it moves into more favorable conditions (it is that time of year) but at this point, I can offer little more than speculation, and the comment that it's convection has waxed a bit today.
