I personally think a NNW or NW movement is not in the mix anymore.
He is either moving N,NNE, NE or even ENE. IMO

I am looking right out my back window, toward Galveston. And REALLY, no wind (except an little breeze here and there), no rain (light drizzle on and off, but not at this time), and the rainbow (well it did disappear slightly).

BUT keep in mind, it could be POURING down rain and windy in League City (3 miles away) :)

I just got back and after being away for a few hours it
actually looks almost like an eastward shift.

Looks very well organized. Should
strengthen slightly over the warm gulf waters

stormcenter...
from this link
http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid= ... 1&loop=yes

i think the "eastward shift," appearance your seeing is what looks like dry air on the west side.

I could be wrong....

Near Katy. Nuthin. The center seems to be very very very close to land, so I don't see how it can strengthen much.

Pearland is not going to get much rain from this, less than an inch. drying is already happening in from the west.

How does this compare to Erin? I know this is stronger but whats your thoughts.

Also the eye is not yet closed. So its very unlikely this is more then 55 knots now. It could strengthen slowly up to landfall.

2" in Pearland? The most I've seen was .45" with with .8" well to your southeast.
