Tropical Storm Ingrid Cyclone Report on pdf

It did not last for many days due to strong upper level winds that teared it apart.

I'm waiting for the Karen report. I wonder if they'll call her a hurricane.

They will. I'll eat my hat if they don't.

Umm . . . they already did. Immediately after that advisory saying that Karen had probably been a hurricane before that advisory, someone went back and altered the ATCF file to show two points (twelve hours) of hurricane status.

See here: ftp://ftp.tpc.ncep.noaa.gov/atcf/tcweb/ ... 007.invest

The 9/26 12z and 18z points reflect a 65kt/990mb hurricane. Of course, since it wasn't quite done in real-time there isn't any entry for the 64kt wind radii, but it's still a hurricane.
