I know. What's up with that????? Stupid PC. :grr: I still say Merry Christmas. Christmas tree has nothing to do with Christianity. It was a Pagan ritual to decorate trees because they worshipped them. Christians wanted to appeal to pagans and allowed them to practice their old culture. Puritans observed Christmas by a church service. Celebrating Christmas got you flogged.

The voice of the few angry is much greater than that of the many content. Political correctness is a "necessity" born of society, and while it is a vile and wicked thing, it keeps people from constant attacks on morality. What people fail to realize is that, in an attempt to keep everyone as moral as possible, they are restricting the free expression that defines our society today.

I'd prefer "Holiday trees." I mean, seriously.

I had a tree like that once! It was a real pine; symmetric and 30 feet tall! Our house had this huge balcony, you see, and this gigantic staircase, so we could fit it in there. That was a Christmas tree!

Same here.

I'm still calling it a "Christmas tree" and I'm still saying "Merry Christmas" because that's what I CELEBRATE. If someone is that offended by me trying to share goodwill to them during the (multiple) Holiday season, then there's something wrong with them. IMHO, all of those holidays are a celebration of goodwill and for our God.

May as well get a giant redwood tree for that! Technincally the way we celebrate Christmas, we shoudl be giving gifts to Jesus, since it is his birthday. Well, of course Jesus wasn't born on December 25th, more like between April to September.

When I first saw this topic, I thought it was about Genealogy stuff. (More info on Wikipedia)

Anyways, somebody give the Politically Correct world a V8 slap.
