And she didn't harm anyone either, except some poor fish, in doing such...is this the first time a fish storm was upgraded post-season?
CrazyC83 wrote:One question somewhat off-topic: has there ever been a post-season classification downgrade (i.e. an operationally-classified hurricane that really was only a tropical storm)? I haven't heard of any, but I personally would have done that to Ernesto last year (I don't think it was a hurricane in the Caribbean).
Andrew92 wrote:No surprises from me that Karen was retired. When I track storms each year, I use a different color for each intensity like many, and my color for hurricane intensity is red. When I saw that discussion that indicated that Karen had likely been a hurricane, I went ahead and drew a red line for a small part of Karen's path. I knew she had to have been a hurricane (and maybe I was a little arrogant but I was right as well).
I'm guessing her rhyming sister will be next. (Erin)
