FWIW the 18z GFS shows a recurve of this system around 65-70W, pretty close to where Bertha went as it happens.

Probably Dolly I'd guess, probably anothe rlong tracking recurving hurricane would be my guess, I'd be frankly shocked if it even gets close to the USA, may need to watch just in case for the NE caribbean though.

Wow 1004mbs low, ouch if this keeps this up we may a depression nearly right from the off. Looks to be about 14N on that, very impressive stuff!

The pressures over Africa are nomally very low though correct? Therefore the 1004mb is not too low.

Yes,the so called dry lows in the dessert.But anyway you can rise that by four and is 1008 mbs.

HURAKAN,the google ones are the best of your great collection of pics.You can see upclose the system with all the countries below in Africa.

About the wave,its about to start to get wet.Lets see how all evolves when that occurs.

"Favors recurve" is much diferent than "will recurve". Maybe this won't develop quick. Maybe it won't develop at all.

Well,Georges was a cat 3 when it crossed Puerto Rico,after tracking almost all the way from Africa as a hurricane.There are many,many examples.

In this traditional pic from the NHC site,you can only see half of the big wave.The low is in the eastern end of convection.
