ATL: Tropical Depression Edouard

Re: ATL: Tropical Storm Edouard - Gulf of Mexico
The shortwave makes it look like the center is further south than the Lake Charles radar shows. The satellite burped in between frames so the continuous track isn't clear. But the surface spiral is probably south of where Lake Charles radar puts it.

Seriously, how lame is it to spam some forum about tropical systems of all things?
your act is getting old faster.....he was a first time poster and asked a question.

I don't think I can stress enough how accurate the NHC has been as far as tracks of storms in the past few years. Intensity forecasts have been hellacious, of course, but the NHC has had this storm making landfall over Galveston Bay since the first advisory issued. This hasn't changed. The storm and the forecast track have jogged North and South (never by too much), and this is likely just occurring again.
In an hour, I predict, everyone will once again come to grips with the fact that this will be a Houston storm, not a Louisiana storm.
Then again, that's just my opinion as well. Take it from the NHC, not from me.

It's funny looking at this satellite loop it's almost like Eddie has already made up it's mind as to where it's going
and it's only a matter of time.

I think most of us won't and if it were coming from me I would say the same thing
so don't take it personal.

Recon is lifting off! Great timing. Big convective blowup over the center in the past hour.

So it looks like a direct Houston hit is out? I remember Humberto last year did something similar and the storm ended up hitting High Island with nothing happening to Housotn.

Houston is in the exact center of the cone.

Humberto was heading NE, Ed is heading WNW so Houston will feel Ed.

Not real smart to do that kind of thing from your own IP address.
That's pretty funny

I believe it is starting to tighten up as it moves close to the coast. It could start developing a eyewall if the upper levels are favorable enough...It is now or never during the next 12 hours.

I am personally loving this weather. We are getting a great breeze right now. Gusts to around 20 - 25. This may be the most comfortable night this summer. It's usually 80+ right now and feeling like 90+.
Sitting outside with the labtop on the 3rd floor. Made the fire from the bbq earlier swirl around quite a bit.
