Im here in beaumont...The effects at 6am is too long...Within hours. I dont like night landfalls.

Well, I can't say that Eddie caught some with their pants down because they pinpointed this entire area...I really thought it was more of a Galveston landfall, even tho Sabine Pass is a mere 45 mins east of Galveston but the Golden Triangle is in for a long night/morning/day.

Ed is currently roughly 90-100 miles from his estimated landfall position, and at a forward speed of 10 mph it gives it another 8-10 hours over water before making landfall. Effects should reach Houston and Galveston by 6 am.

The center appears to be due east of central Galveston island right now (but still south of the actual city of Galveston). A westward storm motion would take Edouard into Galveston, a WNW motion into the Bolivar peninsula, and a NW motion into Sabine Pass...
