At least you now know what hurricanes are capable of and have learned! Even if you hadn't have gone through it, there are experts here that REALLY know hurricanes. And if people are still complacent, then you should tell them what they should be doing.

I know what storms are capable of but it's kind of a "boy who cried wolf" thing with the people I care about. "Mom, you should take this storm seriously... it has the potential to be bad." "Nanna, take it seriously" and then they reply that Beryl or Hanna weren't bad, so Kyle will be a walk in the park.
