hmmm, Ethan. I've never thought of him as evil and didn't like that he had to apologize for doing the RIGHT THING regarding Ryan, just because Larry Moss is dumber than a box of rocks. I'm with y'all on that. At first, Renee got on my nerves, but now I like her more and more each episode. She needs to get out of holding, so she can help Jack! We can't leave that to Larry... he's a few french fries short of a Happy Meal.

We all know she will. Security is terrible in 24 land.

Did anyone notice in the previews for next week it looks like Taylor and Ethan get romantic?

Didn't see anything that made me think that. Did the first husband die and I missed it?

Oh it's just that little half-second clip in the preview. I hope it's nothing. The first husband is still in surgery as far as we know, but it's been many hours since we have heard anything.

I knew it! Olivia is evil, but I'm confused. She's really trying to protect her mother?

The Starkwood scenes were boring. Oh and lack of Larry is great.

Is the Presidents daughter with Starkwood? Something evil within lurks thinks me.

I'm not sure she is with Starkwood, but she is out to destroy her mother due to what happened during the campaign imo. Definitely makes my skin crawl and has since she came on the show.

Starkwood scenes were SOSDD from previous seasons, imo. I agree Brent on both statements.

Sutherland says he's on for 8th '24' season
Mar 24 05:50 AM US/Eastern
By MIN LEE
AP Entertainment Writer

U.S. actor Kiefer Sutherland poses as General W.R. Monger in "Monsters...

HONG KONG (AP) - Kiefer Sutherland will be back to play Jack Bauer for an eighth season of the hit counterterrorism drama "24," but the show's longevity will depend on its writers, the actor said Tuesday.

The 42-year-old said "24," currently in its seventh season, will start shooting its eighth in May. He spoke during an interview in Hong Kong to promote the new 3-D animated movie "Monsters vs. Aliens," in which he voices the character of General W.R. Monger.

Sutherland, whose gritty portrayal of the counterterrorism agent has made Bauer an iconic character, said he's committed to the show that's revived his career.

"If I was going to liken '24' to a girlfriend, '24' has been really good to me. And I need to be really good back," Sutherland said.

"There are plays I want to do. There are so many different things I would like to do, but I was so fortunate to be part of something like '24' that my focus is still on that right now," he said.

Sutherland said the show's future also hinges on its writers' ability to shape its story.

"The real pressure is placed on the writers. It's a real question about how much they feel they can give and what they can do," he said.

Sutherland, whose movie credits include "Young Guns" and "A Few Good Men," said he hasn't thought much about his career after "24" and isn't worried about being typecast as a Bauer-like government agent.

"I will do the work I want to do and people can accept it or not," he said.

Working as a voice actor on "Monsters vs. Aliens" was a "fantastic counterbalance" to playing Bauer, he said.

"The relief was unbelievable. For five days a week, 14 hours a day, I'm doing Jack Bauer on '24' and then for five hours on the weekend, I got to kind of proverbially let my hair down and play this character and talk like that and be a kid. I felt like a 5-year-old," said Sutherland, simulating the deep, raspy voice of his character.

"Monsters vs. Aliens," which is about a jailed group of monsters who are freed to help battle an alien robot, opens in U.S. theaters Friday.

So Jack's infected? That actually caught me by surprise since he's obviously not dying.

I HATE Olivia even more now, and just great, she's the President's closest advisor. Next week she sleeps with reporter guy. Real professional there.

The Starkwood scenes were MUCH improved tonight. I actually was suspicious that the guy would end up turning against Hodges but then it was just a ruse. Figured the weapon wasn't in the warehouse though. FBI Agents vs. a slew of armed military has great potential, don't blow it. OMG Larry and Jack agreed on something!   and Renee is out of holding!

They better UN-infect Jack like quick. Image

I can't stand Olivia either. If she so much as harms a hair on Aaron's head (well, maybe I should use a different phrase), I'm gonna jump in my TV and kick her bony butt.

When Renee found out that Jack may be infected, she had a few tears rolling down her face. Image I like her a little more each week. And someone needs to smack the crap out of Larry. If he had listened to Renee and Jack in the first place, Jack probably WOULDN'T be infected right now. He's on my hit list too.

They have to cure the prion infection before it eats holes in Jack's brain, because rumor has it the next season of '24' starts taping in May.

Heres what I think will happen with Jack. I haven't read anything. Its just a guess.

(Highlight below)
Starkwood has also developed a cure during their research incase some of their people are exposed.

This episode was kind of dull, one of the worst this season. Jack just isn't the same stuck at the FBI. Olivia was AWESOME this episode while I'm really hating Hodges and did not like how Taylor just called off the strike like that. I was surprised the FBI gave up so quickly at Starkwood, just did not ring true to me.

Ironically enough I was just watching Season 2 the other day and Hodges throwing what's his name over the wall and onto the ground below reminded me of Lynne Kresge from back then who was thrown off a staircase.

Next week.. Kim! Haven't seen her since Season 5. She reportedly lived in Valencia at the time which is where the nuke went off in Season 6.

I have to agree with you Brent! You do not tell Federal agents anywhere in the US no matter where it is to get of the property and threaten them. Not gonna happen!
I still hate Olivia and I know she is BAD STUFF, but she was awesome this episode.
RL3A0, I think you nailed it, whether you got it from a spoiler site or not.

Yeah, Olivia's totally evil but I loved her going after the reporter and burst out laughing when she mentioned the wife. But seriously, the Chief of Staff(not to mention President's daughter) would go somewhere without the President knowing? Again, didn't ring true.

Re: Jack's recovery: It's either going to be that, or the treatment mentioned tonight. Since Kim is back next week I think the latter will be tried first, but Jack's obviously not going to die.

If you're expecting everything, or a lot of things, to ring true, you're watching the wrong show. While some of it is possible, you pretty much have to throw reality out the window and just "go with it" when you watch 24. All of this is happening in ONE day. Jack has been tortured, nearly killed, and in at least one case, actually died, then a few shows (hours) later, he's back to performing stunts like he's just spent months in training and is in the best physical shape possible. When they'd make trips across L.A. in 5 or 10 minutes starting back in Season 1... "We'll be back at C.T.U. in 5 minutes," I learned that you just had to let some things slide in order for the concept of 24 to work. But, I love this show!!

LOL, I know. It's always amazing to me how much happens in a single day. I do suspend belief a lot but sometimes it's just a little much. I still love the show though.

But going back to that point, 16 hours ago at the start of the day Jack was getting grilled by the Senate and 3 hours ago, Larry Moss thought Jack killed Senator Mayer and Ryan Burnett(and Olivia told her reporter friend that which should have been reported on the 11pm news)

Renee, hated the way Jack was at first, slapped him and upset in the hospital only 7-8 hours ago when Dubaku's girlfriend died and now I think she loves him. She's been looking devastated at the prospect of him dying from the exposure.

Oh, and why would a reporter NEED a story? In the span of this day, we've already had 2 planes colliding over D.C.(which is a huge story in itself), the First Gentleman taken hostage and nearly killed, a near catastrophe at a chemical plant in Ohio, the White House invaded and the President taken hostage live on the internet and a gun held to her head(not to mention the explosion that ended it). Now any one of these stories would get nonstop coverage on the news these days, much less all of them at the same time, and yet somehow the reporter needs another story to fill the newscast? LOL

I love this show but occasionally I just have to vent.

Why would Tony Almeida blow up the rockets if he is working for the other side?

Oh, and I can see why half the NHL is in love with Elisha Cuthbert.

I did not see that coming withTony Almeda!!! Should I have. Too many things are starting to "not ring true" with this show. I still love the show, but sometimes my wife and I are just looking over at each other and rolling our eyes and saying "rriiiggghhhtttt". It will be interesting to see where they take it from here. Where was Olivia tonight? I wonder when they are going to find the antidote for Jack? You know Starkwood has got to have one.
