The metroplex was in the ideal position for this storm. Its almost as if the upper level trough was pivoting around the metroplex. Not exactly sure of the meteorological term that should be used.

just went out and measured my plywood......6 1/4 inches here plus some melt off....

I was using the hose reel housing that is basically a cube. It measured 1.5 before I left for work. Then 2.5 when I got back 5 hours later. I know we got more than an inch during that time. Anyway, I'll use your measurements.
