:uarrow: FW mentioned that energy and the RUC had it. It's overachieving. I think it's a good bet DFW gets at least a foot.

Here are some picture I just took. Enjoy!!!

The 7" measurement was just a random spot on the ground where people had been walking. The 12" measurement was on top of the shrubs. And yes there are cars under all of that snow!!!!!!!

Let's hope not!!!

Hopefully, we're just getting back into a string of winters that can produce memorable events like the ones back in the 1960s and 1970s. After all, the DFW 24-hour record of 12.1 was set twice in a 14-year period (1964 and 1978).

Who knows, maybe we'll have another snowstorm... or two... or three like this one over the next 15-years! :D

I love that song!

I've been singing it, but it ain't working! 33° and lots and lots of rain - how cruel is that?

Congrats on the snow up there, though. I've enjoyed everyone's pics. Amazing event for you guys!

:uarrow:

And to think that earlier this morning there was an hour or two of cyber-panic, wailing, and gnashing of teeth that the dreaded transition line might surge northward past I-20, turn all of the snow to a miserable rain, and wash all of our big sneaux dreams right down the drain!

Here 12-hours later, as Gomer Pyles used to say, "Surprise, suprise, surprise!" LOL!!! :D

Yikes, you folks in S\E Texas stay safe.

Another problem to add for the morning rush.

FOG POTENTIAL IS BECOMING CONCERNING FOR THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.
GIVEN THE ABUNDANT SNOWFALL ON THE GROUND AND LIGHT WINDS IN PLACE
PATCHY DENSE FOG IS LIKELY. ALSO...WITH FREEZING TEMPERATURES...
THIS FOG IS GOING TO CAUSE FURTHER PROBLEMS.

I wish the roads were not bad. There are some very nice back country roads with hills and creek beds I would love to go and see just NW of town. Perhaps in the morning I will try and make it out that way once the sun is up and take some pictures.

Hmm still no snow total update from the NWS. I'm curious to see if DFW has broken the record or officially hit the foot mark.

Same here. I want to go to bed but I also want to know before I do. At least work is closed tomorrow so I can sleep in.
