truesms,

thanks, you've definitely clarified a few things for me.

this location is the next 'home' of Invest 97L.
Doesn't look too exciting.
That combined with the wind shear map, doesn't bode well for organization...
if the actual center moves wesward at all.

The Gulstream Jet is done for tonight. Anymore recon planned tonight?

cycloneye, where did you get that image of the plan for today's G-IV mission? I couldn't find anything like that on the NOAA AOC site.

As for some sets missing artist, my site was not updating quickly today because I thought the missions today were canceled. I was away from the computer today and heard on the news they were canceled which is why I didn't make my site update more often. The missing sets came in between the 10 minute intervals my site was checking for data. I added the missing data and have set my site to operate every 5 minutes now.

I saw it on another forum (I can't reveal which it is because of ethics) and I posted it here.

I found where that image came from before the flight. It finally crossed my mind to look at AOML rather than the AOC.

Main page:
http://www.aoml.noaa.gov/hrd/data_sub/hurr.html

Then:

AL97 > Aircraft missions > NOAA 49

They were not. I added them since NOAA was releasing them too close together for my site to gather them every ten minutes. I didn't realize the mission was still on since I heard on TV that the missions today were canceled, so I didn't adjust the update interval on my site. (I keep the interval at 10 minutes when there is no activity and adjust it up to every minute depending on the activity. I don't leave it updating fast when there is no activity so that my host doesn't complain.) Next time I will not trust the TV and will check online.
