If so.... Where would you be? (on the beach?)...Where would you hide? (In a non protected home?).....What would you drink in the next month or so? (the 2 cokes you have in the fridge?).....What would you eat?.....(the 2 tins you bought yesterday?)
Don't be so ignorant to wish a monster like this over your head.
All my hope is that the people encountering this monster have the strength and luck to survive. This is a devastating TC.

What a spectacular storm, one for us weather enthusiasts to study well. God bless anyone/anything in it's path. Hopefully everyone's taken shelter or left by now...

Lots of safe places on Guam. Houses are much stronger for starters. I's stay at the Ramada on ypao road

Again, while there are 2 two flights left in ITOP, these are to investigate the cold wake behind Megi, not for recon. It would be nice if they do try to penetrate the core, but that is not scheduled.

Re: WPAC: MEGI - Typhoon
During the recon days in the WPAC, many of the typhoons PEAKED after they reached their highest Dvorak T number so although Megi's went down to 7.0 I think she could be at her peak intensity. Example of this is Super Typhoon Tip who's T number went down after reaching over 8.0

Re: WPAC: MEGI - Typhoon
according to PAGASA Juan (Megi) is about 60 miles off the coast (150km east of Tuguegarao) - at 12mph that's about 5 hours before landfall or 1:30pm local time if my math is right. Tuguegarao is about 30 miles inland. There are some mountains that Megi has to traverse before Tuguegarao.
