Well, I ran a 31:25 back in 1985...long time ago. I got it down to a 37:19 in 1997...and am trying to get to 39 again.....at 45. I got hurt, get this...coming on the last 200 meters. Sigh. I have a knots in my gastrocs and calves. This one flared up on me. I am back down to an 8:30 pace running, 7:30 should be next week and so on until I am back down in mid December. Very frustrating, I tell you.

I am sure you will do well. 1:45 is nothing to sneeze at. I do not have any hankering to do a marathon. I swear if I do a half, I better get done by 1:30..or I will lose my mind. LOL
