Looks like the 18z NAM is wanting to give DFW 1-2 inches of snow.

Still don't think we'll get that much.

Actually the 18Z NAM shows considerably more moisture than the 12Z did.

Yes that is the `1-2 inches of snow. NAM wasn't showing near that much earlier. I still am not sure I believe it, though.

But this now is 2 models that I'm aware of that are showing precip develop in south central TX & move north, the HRRR & NAM. Any others?

That was the first run of the NAM that has really showed it, so that is a good sign. GFS sorta has it but it's verrrry light. I'm thinking we'll see precip develop, I'm just skeptical that'll it'll be anything more than some very light snow. For the DFW area.

Latest HRRR continues to hold strong. Even a little bit stronger. By tonight we'll be able to look at the actual radar and see it play out. No more model runs.

Well I am not sure if this is any indication for other areas around DFW, but UNT is closed tomorrow.

I believe WWAs & WSWs will be expanded north & west. But I am curious to see the 18Z GFS.

It appears that models are showing the ULL staying together longer than they showed earlier - this should mean moisture making it further north and possible greater accumulations due to higher ratios

Brownsville is colder than Bismark, ND right now. Pretty crazy stuff.

At least this time I won't be let down if we don't get anything up this far north. Expectations weren't high so anything that falls up here is just an added plus. Still looking into that system for next week. Might be the one to top off the winter season of 2011 to be remembered.

Could be a precautionary thing. If you have flights in and out of Houston today I would probably check your local airlines for changes. They aren't well equipped for something like this so even chatter about it could cause a slowdown.
