Yeah, this is NUTS!! And there are people on the Kadena Air Base Questions page getting pissy about anyone without a meteorological degree passing along info....Well, I have to say, the info we have passed along has been far more accurate than their meteorologically trained folks who said we would soon be in 1-R.

Fine and quiet! Haha, I'm not in Okinawa. I'm just helping to gather all the info for easy access and quick updates!

Yeah, don't be worried if you lose some of us...Power grid is going to go down for some people. Only a matter of time!

Yeah, now THIS is intense...I would get video, but if I opened a window to videotape, stuff would go flying everywhere. Maybe I'll take the camera in a quiet room and get the sound of the gusts. LOL

I was a little startled they may be going to 1R, the outer eyewall is now hitting..
Seeing sustained at 60kts with gust to 81kts being recorded right now at Kadena RODN.
This is why people say the eye is dangerous, yes the winds went down but the more intense part was still to come.. .
