This time they found 1005mb lowest pressure near 16.1N & 81.9W
So perhaps a bit elongated circulation with 96L, now lets see if it has strong enough winds to be classified as a TD

Generally 20-30 knot winds are good for TD. I've never seen a TD with less than 24 MPH winds.

Now the question is, what do they show for for 5 day cone? I think they stay conservative for the first advisory, staying at TS strength the entire time and a fifth day point SE of Cozumel. This isn't what I think will happen, just what I think the NHC will say based on current models and data.

as long it stays down in the carib and avoids the hostile winds to the north (and stays away from land), it could crank up. plenty of oceanic heat down there. I'm guessing the track will feature a slow northwest drift with perhaps and abrupt right turn with acceleration later in the period. will be interesting to see the nhc 5 day on this one.
