Blame it on Texas! :cheesy:

I don't think a single clip in that video is labeled correctly and the voice overs do not match up. They show "Beaumont, TX" and then the voiceover for the video (which is very clearly NOT Beaumont) mentions a Township. Since when did Huntsville, AL get 3 feet of snow? LMAO. That is just plain lying.

Looks like forecasters are hinting at something maybe around the beginning of December for the deep south.still a long ways out but its something to keep watching.

Time to get this thread rolling as it is close to 80 degrees here right now, lol, but this is valid SUNDAY night.

Image

From James Spann:

We turn sharply colder after the storms pass, and we won’t get out of the 40s Sunday with clouds and some light rain at times. Some snow is even possible Sunday north of here over West Tennessee and Arkansas if the global models are correct.

From NWS Huntsville:

NOTE...NEXT MONDAY IS OUTSIDE THIS FCST PACKAGE...BUT GFS MODEL
SOUNDINGS SHOW A CHC OF SNOW ON MONDAY AS A CLOSED UPPER LOW PUMPS
COLD AIR ACROSS THE CWA. NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAVE VERY LOW CONFIDENCE
WITH THIS SCENARIO...ESPECIALLY FOR THIS PART OF THE COUNTRY AND THIS
TIME OF THE YEAR.

From NE Georgia:

Sunday Night: A chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

From BMX:

THE NEXT APPARENT WEATHER MAKER IS FORECAST TO COME IN SOME TIME
OVER THE WEEKEND. THE ECMWF...WHICH HAD A WILDLY DIFFERENT
SOLUTION ON ITS 00Z RUN...HAS COME CLOSER TO THE GFS ON THE 12Z
RUN. THIS INCHES CONFIDENCE UP A BIT FOR THE WEEKEND SYSTEM. BUT THIS
INCREASE ONLY APPLIES TO THE CONFIDENCE OF SOME SORT OF STORM SYSTEM
AFFECTING US SATURDAY OR SUNDAY. IT REALLY DOESN`T INCREASE THE
CONFIDENCE IN ANYTHING SPECIFIC (SUCH AS THE CHANCE OF SEVERE
WEATHER OR -- GASP -- WINTER WEATHER).

My forecast is cold at the very least...

Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 47.

I can't believe I'm reading this...how I'd love to send all my blessings  down there!!!!

You folks don't have winter tires etc and I bet your cars don't even have heaters installed (however I do sense you would get a *snow day* if that white stuff did fall down there). In my dreams  (-50 F we go to work...or enough snow falls that the underside of our auto's have parts ripped off and we are expected to be at work).

Oh well have fun if it does fall and be sure to make a snowball. ;)

That is awfully close but I fully expect it to trend warmer as we get closer to the event. I bet it will be a typical rain before the front comes through event, at least here in Baton Rouge. The cool down will be too late, if it even gets to freezing.

Well, today's (11/25) 18Z GFS is back to showing a cutoff ULL over Louisiana drifting towards Atlanta....and, it looks cold enought at the 850mb level with the 0C isotherm covering much of La and Miss. Precipt looks light but who knows........MGC
