Looks ~150K ish... I may be missing some...are there multiple major power companies in NJ?

Yes. Down in Southern NJ there's Atlantic Electric and PSE&G. I forget the names of the ones in central and northern NJ.

Not doubting you at all, but when making statements like this it would be nice if there were some numbers given and/or a link to the information.

Some sobering tweets in the last few moments:

"@SeverePlains: Economic impact rising, NYC MTA has confirmed that the subway system has flooded & will likely remain shut down 4 rest of the week."

"@ChaserCentral: RT @YourAnonNews: Ch. 7 is on the phone with mta chairman. Water in the tunnels in lower manhattan. Mta out for atleast a week."

"@cnnbrk: Due to floodwaters generated by #Sandy, the Port Authority has closed LaGuardia Airport until further notice. http://on.cnn.com/Pg1gMd ."

"‏@stormchaser4850: DEVELOPING: Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office has confirmed at least 5 storm-related fatalities in New York via @WSJNY #Sandy."

-----

EDIT: "@wunderground: Official MTA Twitter account confirms that NYC Subway is flooded. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mtaphotos/8136873915/ …"

Yes. JCP&L and PSEG are the two largest (note: PSEG serves a very densely populated area). There's also Orange Rockland Electric (relatively minor) and Atlantic City Electric.

Edit for map: http://www.njcleanenergy.com/files/imag ... ic_map.gif

THX

JCP&L up a little ~152K

PSEG's map sucks! It averages out to ~106K
