Possible Cause of WSW Jog...

#1 Postby MWatkins » Fri Sep 12, 2003 8:55 am

Look at the surge that starts at...oh...the top of the frame between 30 and 40N and extends southwestward until it reaches Isabel's outflow then fans out to swirls on either side of the hurricane.

This appears to be the reason wht the hurricane has a little of a NW to SE smuch to it and probably helps to explain the little WSW jogs we've been seeing.

Interesting.

Seems to be more than a wobble, maybe an intense wobble or something :P .....with every frame that comes in showing isabel "wobbling" further south, i think its lookin worse for FL

MW you know where I am so I ask will that continue or it will resume as expected the west track because if this continues it may have more implications to the islands but I dont expect that to happen.

Pretty anxious situation folks. I'm not comparing Claudette to this hurricane but I remember they kept expecting Claudette to make that turn. The next thing you know she was sitting right of the coast of Galveston (which paid a price) until she finally took a sharp turn West. We kept waiting and waiting and waiting..........hmmmmmmm

Wait and see

Mike looks like Isabel has started putting on the breaks somewhat. Any comments?
