Name of the "more densely populated area" please, just to be clear?

Thanks....

I' m sure I heard the place before on this thread...
Its a collection of communities: Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Southern Shores, Duck, Pine Island, Currituck Beaches, and Corolla. There could easily be approximately 300,000 people here, and these communities were not evacuated. This is a 30 mile long by varying widths of development from the ocean to the sound, single family homes, townhouses, condos, hotels, a few campers, and planned unit developments. Much of it is served by one two lane road.
