RAW T near 6.0 or 115 knots.

Dvorak is 5.0 so i would estimate the intensity at 105 knots as an average...

Sad news...

10 killed in the Philippines even though Goni didn't make landfall there...

It's outer feeder bands combined with the southwest monsoon triggered torrential rain that produced landslides and flooding...

Latest warning has a direct landfall over Iriomote with the more populated island of Ishigaki right in the nasty part of the eyewall where our cyclone chaser is at...

indeed, its appearance keeps getting better.
Must be making a run on cat 3 or maybe cat 4.
2 days ago, I thought Goni will totally be wallowed up by the dry air.. :double: I was wrong!
nice recovery... kinda remind me of Bopha when it's on SCS.
