FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...
A LARGE BUT DISORGANIZED AREA OF CLOUDINESS AND THUNDERSTORMS
EXTENDS FROM THE LESSER ANTILLES EASTWARD FOR SEVERAL HUNDRED
MILES. THIS WEATHER IS ASSOCIATED WITH A BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE
AND A TROPICAL WAVE. CONDITIONS APPEAR UNFAVORABLE FOR
DEVELOPMENT.
ANOTHER TROPICAL WAVE IS LOCATED IN THE EASTERN TROPICAL ATLANTIC
OCEAN ABOUT 550 MILES WEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS.
DEVELOPMENT...IF ANY...IS EXPECTED TO BE SLOW TO OCCUR.
ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
SUNDAY.

. . . . .but the gulf season is getting started early with a brand new tropical depression. right now, it's in the western gulf off brownsville moving north east at about 5 mph.

in fact, this development process is so rapid today, that even the nhc hasn't had time to post this depression.
Anyone else see this?
