Re: Tropical wave off African coast (Pouch 21L)
Dr Phil's latest 2 week forecast thinks this tropical wave will not develop much if any because of MJO still being on Phase 6.
No comment, lol.

Details aren't important past the islands as of now but if GFS keeps showing solutions like this it will be time to watch closely.

I still think anyone on the US coast need to watch this being its coming up on peak time of the season plus it already looks good on satellite+ I wouldn't be surprised if they lemon this system either at 2 or 8

JB optimistic with this TW...
In his "Public" 8.18.16 Weatherbell video he drew a track line near NE Caribbean, Bahamas, and pointing towards Florida...

I wonder if the GFS could be overdoing the troughiness, and 150-200 miles west in track will make the BIG difference between an East Coast rider and it missing the East Coast and the Bahamas to the east.

A tropical wave located about 300 miles southwest of Cabo Verde
Islands is producing widespread cloudiness and disorganized shower
activity. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for
gradual development of this disturbance over the next several days
while the system moves westward at about 15 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent
