But I agree on humidity, it can be a deal breaker

Brent wrote:I grew up in Alabama so the summers don't really bother me that much... if anything the drier air that's usually here is definitely a different kind of air(I wouldn't say better but I do see it as slightly more bearable)... the positive to the humidity in Alabama though was most days you'd have a chance of a thunderstorm which were always awesome(of course it usually felt like a sauna afterwards). It's just boringly hot here for weeks on end usually. Now the last 2 summers(both that I've been here ironically) with the rain cooled air in August was a rare treat.
Like I said earlier, what gets me about here is the heat outside of the summer. That's why I get so annoyed by record highs in October/November/December... this is the cold people's time...

Ken on KAUZ was talking about a southern shift and Wichita Falls potentially getting a little more than originally thought. Let's hope this is a trend Yukon!

Hey now none of that! You're going to give us a false sense of hope with northerly kickers. We get enough heat from wxman57 with the teasers with a caveat
It's supposed to go out into the open waters of the NE Pacific is it not?

Yep March 4-5, 2015... best snowstorm I had seen in years.
I haven't even personally seen flakes since..
What kind of cheese would you like with that whine? We haven't seen any accumulation in Houston since 2004 and that was actually mostly to the South of the metro area. Might get a sleet pellet or two out of this one, but I doubt it.
I know I shouldn't complain but it's just frustrating to keep living in areas where getting snow is like pulling teeth lol

Nobody knows freezing drizzle like we do here in the ATX. So the big question is ... will it happen?! Will the lower levels of the airmass be too dry or not. Temps will likely be cold enough for surface freezing.
