Yes, well, I mean within town, where the houses and businesses are. I was hearing that, unless a huge quick rain event were to happen, the flood levels would only decrease in houston from where they were starting yesterday.

18z nam hires still socks Houston in til Wednesday morning with peak period late tonight into tomorrow. Unfortunately if my math is right there are numbers over 2 feet bullseyed on Houston still. Hopefully that is an unlikely outlier
Latest euro seems to stop at 12-16 more for Houston areas tho.

Model trends are pointing to the possibility of very heavy rain overnight. @fox8nola #lawx #mswx #Harvey

latest vis pix of Harvey.. very tiny pinhole center, hardly discernable, very vigorous circulation, and looks like convection trying to develop to the northwest and south west of the center...

Yes. This ex-major has a very large and well-defined circulation, having just entered the NE GOM. I suspect there is going to be some intensification to the level of strong tropical storm.

Looks like to me the echoes to the northwest dropped off suddenyl on that last radar. Hopefully that is a trend...

Just saying it's unbelievable. There is no sign that this moisture coming in off the gulf is going to stop anytime soon. Water levels getting more and more dangerous in reservoirs and rivers. More water to contain. Pressure on dams and rising river levels will continue several days after storm.

Unless he can wrap that convection around the center again, that dry air should help keep him in check somewhat... but unfortunately not going to help the TX and LA coast... they will continue to get blasted with rain from Harvey

Looks like a giant arm, with the palm holding SE Texas and its ball of moisture.

Correct, but I thought there was a massive amount of dry air and shear turning this into a wave..

The rain clouds from Harvey are stalled over Houston and raining out...Harvey continues to pump moisture from the Gulf Of Mexico over Houston and it is precipitating out in the form of constant rain...

Does anyone have a rough estimate of the inches per hour into houston given this specific relentless band that is fed via gulf?
