HRRR is showing very poor run-run consistency and the 6z NAM is not panning out. I don't think these models have a very good idea of what is going on.

Yea, 12z 3k NAM is like, "ok, that didn't work, let's try this and see what happens"

Decent rain for all of 10 min, then just light rain. Looks to be past me to the east now.
Forecast for another chance of heavy rain for later today looks to only be east Texas now, with 20% or less chance of any measurable rain across the DFW area.
We desperately need a all day moderate rain event to recover form the early onset of drought.

Was honestly skeptic but we scored! 3.4”** officially in Austin (Mabry) . More tom. Under a flood watch.

Another big medium range model bust for DFW. Models were consistently showing 2-3" rain across DFW from multiple rounds of storms this weekend. It looks like the airport officially picked up 1/3" with hi-res models showing little to no more rain this weekend. Models continue to improve in the metrics that they use for tracking that but it feels like they have gotten worse when it comes to precipitation placement and amounts.

Just under 2 inches here at the Rain Cave. Seeing lots of lighting over the last hour and a half as a storm developed in Hays and basically has been sitting or very slowly moving to the northeast. On the northern edge but just in the last few minutes seeing frequent lighting overhead.

Law Enforcement has shut down I-35 @ US 183 just north of Austin.

Coming into work this morning around 8:30 am, the water on Parmer crossing Lamar in the middle lane was deep enough to kick in my traction control.... oh and the shutdown on 35 is in Austin, North Austin, 35 near Rundburg just north of 183
