Re: N GOM / SE CONUS Coast Watch
Northerly shear already affecting the weak elongated vortex, the convection keeps pushing south. Surface pressures in this area are couple of mb higher than yesterday which were already high.

yeah tornado threat will likely increase as the circ becomes more defined.

A very broad circulation for sure. Covers a large area of the Suwanee River Valley at the current time. I am increasingly worried about heavy rainfall later tonight and overnight as this system moves through the area. An interesting night ahead to monitor for sure.

A thin line of very heavy showers developed overhead here in SAV and showers within it are training thus resulting in 1"+ in just the last 30 minutes! It is still coming down heavily. street flooding is undoubtedly occurring. Only occasional rumbles of thunder.

Thankfully Dmin is working its magic and convection is weakening. We did have a short fused tornado warning for part of Hillsborough county but as is often the case it appeared to be a false alarm with no reports of damage. Things look to be improving locally with only light intermittent rain and temps in the mid to upper 70's...which is as good as it gets for an August afternoon.

For the subsequent hour, it rained heavily on and off. I ended up with an impressive ~2.6" in just 1.5 hours (1:30-3PM). Whereas two days ago gave us the storm of the summer so far in terms of the combo of CTG lightning, winds, and rains combined, today has given us the heaviest rains of the summer to date due to training of storms. There has been no CTG lightning of note and winds have been light. Just mainly beneficial rains. Still light rain falling.
Edit: In just the last 3 days, I've received ~4.5" with rain still falling lightly and more likely to come over the next couple of days. This should take care of watering needs for perhaps the rest of the hot season.

There was definitely a brief spin up in Port of Tampa area/Picnic island area but it never touched the ground which prompted the warnings.
A few fronds and limbs are the only casualties

Yeah I jinxed us with heavy rain reloading offshore and quickly headed for land. Tampa bay up through the nature coast looks to be in the line of fire for another dump of heavy rain...

Yeah I've received 13+ inches since Monday on the coast in Hernando County. And that was as of this morning. I will most likely break 20 inches for the month with half of it go yet.

Extremely impressive rainfall totals down there. Flood concerns aplenty down your way.

Re: N GOM / SE CONUS Coast Watch
Circ is tightening up wsw of Jacksonville. Radar is showing it nicely.
Assuming it continues to move ene to ne it will end up offshore.

Re: N GOM / SE CONUS Coast Watch

I will be closely watching the barometric pressures this evening with this system going directly over my region tonight.

Re: N GOM / SE CONUS Coast Watch
As Psyclone mentioned a short time ago, we are in DMIN currently , so we will see later on this evening what will transpire with this system.
However, one glaring thing I do note this evening is the continental dry air just north and west of this tough axis up across Georgia and the Western Florida Panhandle. Temps reached near 100 degrees in portions of the Florida Panhandle today and across much.of North and Central Georgi today.
I have a feeling that dry air may put the whammy on third system developing any further. We will see if DMAX later tonight will re-fire convection on the system as it moves off the NE FL/SE GA coast late tonight into early tomorrow morning.
Current barometric pressure measured currently here at my home station is at 29.96 inches or at 1014.2 mb.
SW wind 11 mph, with a gust to 15-20 mph at times this past hour.
