Will they retire Isabel?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

The Weather Channel did not send a live crew, must not have been bad, LOL. Actually that Cabot girl from ABC news was there in Bermuda. It was a huge story for a day, so maybe it will be retired.

Isabel will definately be retired as last year the NHC set a precedent when they retired Lili even though Lili wasn't seriously damaging....so therefor I see Isabel been retired.

That and the reason that Isabel hit one of the most populated sections of the US coastline and damage will be astronomical once the sun sets on this hurricane season.

TWC never sends live crews to international locations.

Incorrect about Lili.

1. Lili was the 3rd most destructuve hurricane ever for Louisiana, behind only Betsy and Andrew.

2. Lili devestated Cuba

3. Lili hit the Caymans.

4. Lili brought severe flooding to Jamaica.

5. Lili destroyed hundreds of homes in the Windward Islands

Also, NHC does not retire stomr names, that is the job of the good old UN (WMO)

Yup and for those that don't know, the "WMO" is the "World Meteorological Organization."

Sorry...my mistake.

I just saying that Isabel was a lot more damaging than Lili and Lili was retird...So the point I was making was that Isabel will likely be retired.

Sorry about the incorrect facts
