There will be ridging north of it. It’s going west, not nw. That looks suspect to me.

There’s been a lot of talk about strong Bermuda high ridging. That’s why I said that. Not because I live in Texas.

Another tropical wave located over the far eastern tropical Atlantic
well to the southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands is producing a large
area of cloudiness and disorganized showers. The wave is forecast
to move westward at 15 to 20 mph during the next few days, and
environmental conditions are expected to become more conducive for
the development of a tropical depression during the middle-to-
latter part of this week while the system moves across the central
tropical Atlantic.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent.

I hope so too but no model is recurving this and the 0zGFS has a strong tropical storm/hurricane in the western Caribbean

the gfs showing a system developing and being below 995 mb seems like big deal for a 2020 storm lol.
