I am in Cut Off La. which is about 30 miles north of Port Fourchon in SE La. I just had the first band come through with some very heavy rain and wind gusts approaching TS strength by my estimation. It didn't last long but I my lights blinked a couple of times so I figure to lose power at some point but between my home backup and two portable gennys I will be good LOL. I am not expecting much in my area from the storm but I sure do feel for those that are goning to be in the direct path of this monster. This is gonna be much worse than audrey in 57. I just hope most of the people evacuated. The flooding is gonna be unprecedented in the areas around lake charles. Unreal that she is still dropping pressure like a rock and still intensifying.
I do have a question though. Earlier it looked like the winds were taking awhile to catch up with the pressure drops. Is this still the case with the pressure dropping and the wind still increasing.? If that is still true then we are seeing the winds from earlier drops and more wind speed increases are coming from the more recent drop.
