I've been only getting sleet right now, but that's going to change evenutally.

That's interesting you're getting sleet that far north (relative to us in TX). All the stations around I see report snow.

It’s been a lot of sleet for me here and it keeps switching between snow and sleet. Warm nose is being pesky.

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

Yeah I'm hearing sleet again here too. It seems like when it lessens up a bit that's the sleet. Heavier rates snow

That's interesting. Means heavier qpf is playing a role in cooling the column a lot of dynamics at play. There really isn't a strong vorticity max above (cold air pocket), mostly overrunning with impulses. The vortmax is sitting in AZ/NM border.

Yeah that’s a bit much. But we’ll be able to tell everyone if it happens. Assuming we have electricity.

FW, Denton, McKinney all 32F. DFW/Love field are both 34. Most are sitting between those two numbers north of I-20. Safe to say the models that said 32F would hit Thursday morning a couple of days ago were a tad off.

Well that was kind of always my argument here about the warm nose wrecking our potential I figured heavy rates would cause it to snow basically. I've seen that before

Yeah with the sleet sticking around earlier I think we may end up with less total accumulation here. Hopefully we get some big bands tonight but I'm not as optimistic as I was this morning. I'm guessing you'll still get a solid amount up there though.

Seeing some mPING sleet/ice pellet reports in DFW proper. Don't know how accurate those are?

RAP and HRRR depict it should be starting. I wouldn't discount the reports. Very intense batch of qpf incoming likely toying with profiles.

King Euro lost its crown long ago, maybe time for it to look into some assisted living centers
