He's really crawling now. Landfall has been "minutes away" for two hours now!

I lost my home, everything in it, and all of my vehicles in Harvey. It was a nightmare, but my family survived. If he is safe, that's the most important thing.

I lived in Houston for Harvey.

Spent 3 days and nights in my 22’ aluminum boat rescuing folks in river conditions.

My hat is off to the Cajun Navy. Those guys are relentless.

I live 100M east of Houston and we got 67". Cajun Navy was here as well. I evacuated 0.2 miles away and they couldn't evacuate. I walked back to my house and almost died in my backyard because it turned into quicksand.

This post is NOT an official forecast and should not be used as such. It is just my opinion and may or may not be backed by sound meteorological products.

I commented the same concern a few hours ago on this thread. It’s a real possibility.

Wow. Thought it would weaken prior to landfall but this is an impressive hurricane. My hope is everyone heeded the warnings in the Sarasota through Naples coastline and evacuated. Going to be a terrible scene tomorrow unfortunately. Stay safe people.

It's much higher than that. Two guys put it up and one stood on the other's shoulders to winch it to the post.

Been watching this one. Kory Hartman is moderating the livestream and said John Humphress put it 12 feet up, not six.

Two minutes later - Kory says it quit broadcasting, either under water or dead.

Barely moving. The east end of Sanibel still in and out of eyewall.

Sanibel is getting one of the longest durations in the clear of the eye of a major hurricane I can recall. I wouldn't want to be there, but it would be something to behold, hours upon hours inside the core.

Looks like we're getting one last western eyewall pass, the plane just turned south.
