I haven’t seen anyone talk about the SOI lately. What’s it been up to?

58 below normal would be an all timer for DFW. I think the record is 38 below.

It would be really really hard to get much over 40 here. 40 below normal for the daily average would be 13 degree daily in MoCo. In Dallas I believe it would be 4 degrees. Good luck with 58 below average.

Those types of departures always seem to stay way further north from Kansas into the Dakotas. You can see the 30-40°F departures here but not ever really anything more than that.

Winter 2020-2021 :cold:

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

NWS increased the accumulation percentages for DFW. Dallas county in the mix now with an increase for Denton and Tarrant. Slowly moving southeast. Keep it coming.

Looks like Arctic outbreak is coming on the 18z GFS. That is a lot of cold in Canada... :cold:.

More like "Either the worst of it, or none of it".

And yes, my area seems to be the Central Oklahoma Jackpot for snow. Or nothing.
