Big windfield but very little precipitation to the southeast over Metro Miami and Broward.

I just wanna show you guys this video but actually post the video not the link to it.

This is the link to the video I’ve been trying to post to show y’all Helene’s actual movement overlay on the NHC track to show east movement.

You got it. It’s img /img to link a hosted photo or video. Pretty cool so thanks.

I think what they are asking is.. where is the website that shows it like that, i think we all want to see it lol

I am trying to figure out how to show you all the many relevant pictures and videos I have and embed them so they show up in the actual post, rather than being relegated to just posting a link people have to click on as that isn’t as impactful or engaging. You know? I’ve mastered the link but I can’t figure out how to get an image or video to work yet.

Looks like major hurricane status is probably not gonna happen (I hope), but look at the size of that thing.

Maybe an expert can correct me, but with how lopsided the windfield is, it seeems that it’s out of time for any serious strengthening.

Caveat - I went through ike - this is a serious storm, I get it. Just talking about winds atm.

Wow! That’s one hell of a wobble

Agreed that was definitely a big wobble. I know it’s gotta be scaring folks in Tampa and North. The wobbles in this particular storm feel like higher stakes than most.

Do you have a link to that satellite you posted with the track on it ?

Crazy! I do remember all the models from last several days did show the Eastern side was going to be the strongest, by far....

AF plane drop 3 and SFMR suggest the higher FL winds aloft are not quite making it to the surface. Might be around 80kts/962mb right now. Gonna take a lot of work to get too much over 100kts with that wind field

First time it’s looked to me that a solid eyewall is imminent. But it might be too little too late

My bad. I thought they were asking how to load the moving image and not just the link. Someone else on the same page had asked about the link to the color satellite with the 3D visible overlay. So I must have gotten them confused.

I’m wondering if we get a final burst at landfall like a couple of other recent storms have done. It will be during DMAX so it could blast off coming in.

This is definitely what I was asking! Here’s a test let me try to post this picture. It should show what recon is saying about the eye being open to the south via an IR shot.

Honestly this reminds me a lot of the old arguments we used to have over the SSHS being replaced with another scale. It's Cat 2 wind but with Cat 3/4 impacts due to surge and rain.

definitely not strengthening anymore, I wouldn't be surprised if this was close to it for max intensity. Convection is building asymmetrically, there's only so much deepening it can do with this type of core structure. 960mb is probably really close to the limits and to be fair, that is pretty strong, just the size of this thing makes the peak winds lower for that pressure.

See, and it isn’t working. My post to Steve didn’t show the actual picture. Just a broken icon. I’m using the img tag with the imgur link in between. What am I doing wrong?

Other plane just dropsonde'd a 962mb, if it's lower than that she's probably started cranking

You need the direct image link that ends with either .gif .jpg .jpeg etc etc

See - I tried a test on my reply to you but it didn’t work. I’m forced to just link links instead of pictures. So here’s the link. :x

On Imgur, the easiest way is to click the dropdown menu in the top right, click "get share links," then copy the "BBcode (Forums)" link. If I had to guess, you are copying the link to the imgur page rather than the image itself, there needs to be the .jpg/.png/.gif file extension in the link.

Amateur here, but seems like latest center fix (not confirmed yet) shows slight jog back west.
