Re: ATL: LESLIE - Hurricane - Discussion
We all forgot about Leslie, but she might be the most resilient storm of the season. I had written this TC off many times and every time it still made a comeback.

Rooting for Leslie to get a Category 3 peak at this point.

Starting to shrimp out a bit. Will it persist and get Leslie to MH intensity? Only time will tell.
If Leslie becomes a major, this season will be at 13/9/5 — insanely quality-over-quantity.

Wow, Leslie just refuses to quit. While i still believe that the first peak was at least a Cat 2 on October 6, Leslie now looks like its trying to do that operationally.

Our girl is already at an ACE of 11.3. She will realistically pass Ernesto and settle just under Beryl, Kirk & Milton for the year.

Subjective Dvorak numbers from TAFB and SAB are a unanimous T-4.5/77
kt, whereas recent objective intensity estimates from UW-CIMSS have
been averaging in the 78-85 kt range for the past several hours.
The initial intensity is bumped up to 80 kt, using a blend of the
subjective and objective estimates.
