I would take this and run with it. :double:

I'm still like :double: that would be the biggest storm I've seen here and right after i saw 11 inches in Kansas City

There's no doubts our trends clearly have been up though... It's just how much up

It's 24 degrees here  we might be back to not having to worry about mixing at least

Flipping through HRRRt derived soundings and for areas along and North of I30 where some models show sleet, there is basically the smallest warm nose ever. It wouldn't be surprising if many of those areas either don't mix or mix less than what the 00z is showing. Also, another takeaway is that the reason the snow totals keep going up is b/c less and less QPF is being lost to rain.

Tomorrows high has gone up 2 degrees to 35, which has lead to the NWS totals dropping for my area.

If you lean RAP, then that is the case even along I20 tomorrow. Already down to the forecasted low. Temps have fallen almost 20F since our afternoon high.

Someone get Tom on the horn and tell him to pump those numbers up!

Also, Delkus just said no changes to his numbers.

Maybe I'm crazy, but there has been a clear cooling trend in the models this afternoon and evening, and I think numbers will be higher than the current forecast. It seems like they are being overly conservative to avoid busting high.

The freeze line has already made it down to SE TX. Some mid 20s across E TX currently.

29 IMBY 77% humidity clouds starting to make the moon disappear I guess this is as low as my temps are going hope it’s enough to stay below freezing.

Glad someone else is picking up on this. With QPF of an inch plus and a marginal warm nose, has the makings of a Feb 2010 style forecast bust again

The RAP model back during that event is what tipped us off to what was coming, several hours before it started the snow line started moving south on the forecast depictions but the FW office ignored it and the rest is history

So weird to have a winter storm incoming and it's colder in E TX than other areas of the state.

What’s goofy is the low for Denton says 28 and it’s already 25. DP is still 18 so should moisten up readily.

At this point, whatever happens happens.

I went out to buy a shovel and some rock salt, so we'll see if that jinxes anything one way or another...

Put it up for sale or put it back in your vehicle with receipt as if you are about to return it.

I'm at 29, which is now below the final low from the afternoon forecast. DP not rising super fast, which should help it drop a degree or two.

For those who have family or friends out west. New nightmare occurring tonight. Can't believe so many fires are breaking out across area in LA county that you would never even think would be under threat. Traffic gridlock everywhere with people running with suitcases on foot to evacuate. Crazy and sad.

Haha. Doubt it. Better chances eastward. I’m going to be happy with whatever I get. I think qpf will be more limited here as I’m just west of where it blows up. Going by HRRR and euro I’d guess 7-8” and that should make anybody happy.
