This was some cold air behind it for such a little guy coming through. We had a forecast for 4-5" inches when the trough was an open wave, but it tightened up into a closed low and the only real precip we got was from jet induced banding. Many different ways to skin a cat up here. Nice to see something opn the ground again. We need ALOT more moving forward.

I noted the past week we will have to deal with the jet extension. That head-fakes of cold would occur the first week by models and thus far is holding true which is why models are losing some cold in source region, washes out to the east. Which is why we are still seeing above normal temps next week. The next step is to get the Pac jet to go equatorward after the extension is when ridging goes up poleward and by mid month a favorable Pacific.
