That image on the arab website or whatever it was has really stuck with me since it was shown here. Even though the chatter has decreased and nothing happened at other oppurtune times I just hope the security is not lowered. The Houston Chronicle published a report today about glaring security lapses at both of our airports. right now I just don't think we can be careful enough or vigilant enough. Call It a gut feeling or what ever you want. And no I am not living my life scared. I go about my daily business as always. JMHO.

As many others have indicated (not necessarily in this thread) make the threat increase only for those areas in greater than typical danger ( I know, no place is safe). Don't raise the threat level to REd for Billings, MT for example, just do it for the areas that are of most concerned.

Which is exactly what they have done I heard on the news tonight. Houston is still at an orange level along with places like NYC, DC and LA. I didn't see which other areas are included, but I would guess that info is available at their website.

streetsoldier I am going to get some cases of ammo but I want to see what fries the best first. I thought about that South African ammo but it is a little pricey without trying some first.

D/FW reopens parking, halts vehicle searches

By Bryon Okada, Star-Telegram Staff Writer

D/FW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - By early Friday afternoon, Dallas/Fort Worth Airport was reopening its one-hour parking spaces in the terminal garages and stopping random vehicle searches at the entry gates.

D/FW has inspected or searched more than 400,000 vehicles since Dec. 21, when the color-coded national terror alert was raised to Level Orange, or high. On Friday, the terror level was lowered to Yellow, or elevated.

As an extra measure, toll plaza attendants at D/FW will continue to conduct visual inspections and can alert the airport's Department of Public Safety officers to search a suspicious vehicle.
