Voted Not sure. Sure what they did was wrong, and I wouldn't want my children to watch it (but we don't own a tv, so that won't happen). CBS, in my opinion knew full well what they were going to do, as part of the MTV family of companies (Viacom). They can try to deny it to look good, but it is all about ratings.

I voted yes too. I do believe that Justin TimberLake is regretting it but not Janet Jackson. You are known by the company you keep.
Look at what the Academy did to Russell Crowe that year. They gave the Oscar to Denzel Washington for Training Day when everyone knew good and well Russell Crowe deserved it for a Beautiful Mind. Had he behaved himself he would have won it.
Same thing should happen with those two.

Glad there are several who agree with me that they should be banned!
Unfortunately......these two are "role models" for lots of young people......along with other MTV performers. Knowing their "show" would be viewed by such a large number of people......of all ages......and thinking it would be easily accepted sure doesn't say much for our society if we have little reaction!!
I was interested in what the students had to say so I listened to their comments......(remember, they're 16, 17, & 18 yr. olds) Sure, there were jokes and snickers, but MOST WERE DISGUSTED AND UNIMPRESSED WITH THESE ANTICS!!............p

Watch some primetime shows, they also have nudity,NYPD did or still does. My point is what they did wasn't HALF as bad as some stuff I have seen on tv or the shows or movies that are shown on regular TV. There is a lot more things I would like to see not shown on tv but this is america and we can't censor everything
Those shows have warnings at the beginning that says adult content, not suitable for children. Exposing her breast on national tv at a football game was totally uncalled for. IMO! BOOT EM BOTH!!!

So, J, you saw it too? Good, I knew I wasn't seeing things.
Bonnie -- originally Johnathan's post contained both

Which was confusing as heck because it sounded like Johnathan was contradicting himself. But then, it changed and your post was there on my next check of the forum.
