I'm not giving up yet, and I don't think you should either. There is still PLENTY of time for things to change.

Amazing, you are giving up all ready and the storm is just about 4 days away.
Myself being along the immediate coast, it seems al well and good, but I do think that this will be a very good hit from PHY to NYC, basing your forecast on one model run is not smart this far out. My thinking it will be a big storm for PHY to NYC. This is not over and I'm definitely giving up hope.

your are right, it's too far out to make that call, but I think that we still have a very good chance of seeing big snow, but I don't think that it will make it that far north. I think it should stay cold enough for all snow, did anyone see Fox29 forecast. He seems to think we will get good snow, lets just keep our fingers crossed.

Well, actually I'm feeling a bit better now...glad I didn't get excited. But, you never know...things can trend a LOT. Remember, we are still 4-5 days away from the event. A LOT can change between now and then. While it's not looking good right now, we can be in a whole different situation come tomorrow.

For those of you in the Washington DC area that are champing at the bit for Spring, after next week, we are progged to get mild, even outright warm weather for the next two weeks after next Thursday.
So, even if we DO get nailed by this Tuesday or Wednesday storm, it'll rapidly warm up. Easy come........easy go...........
Seriously though, I am ready for some garden-variety thundershowers! This winter is kinda off.......It's time to cut bait on it folks, even I can see that............ Come on, gardening!!! I know this is gonna come as a SHOCK to everyone here, but I DO have other hobbies besides snow and ice lol!
Hey, I'm up for spring!!
Bring it...................

If the next system doesn't bring snow there is no reason to think that the ones in the future will not. It is only February 14th. There have been some snowstorms in late February and enough of them over the years during the month of March.
There was the "April Fool's Storm" that began on March 31st and going into April 1st in 1997. The very next year Boston's record high temperature was broken when it made it to 89°F.
